This is the year of the party crasher!

Ok, so today was my last day of school, so I'm pretty happy. I had a hellish final today though. Anatomy was 200 questions. In an hour and a half. I got done maybe 150 of them, but at least I knew them all for the most part. Just checked and I got a 71. Not too shabby I guess. Um. So anyways. It's Christmas time. I'm captain obvious. I've got kind of the Charlie Brown syndrome. Everyone around me is freaking out, listening to Christmas music, decorating, the whole nine yards, and I'm kind of just "Meh" about the whole thing. I don't know what it is, but the last couple years, I've been like that. ALTHOUGH. I did feel some Christmas cheer for a couple hours last week. A one Ryne Hambright sent me an awesome, totally unexpected Christmas present. The box had some RK buttons, a sweet drawing, and a nice little note, telling me about my gift subscription to Alternative Press. I was pretty happy to say the least. So thanks Ryne. That combined with videos of Jesse Lacey, Dustin Kensrue, and the boys of Mewithoutyou singing Christmas carols in the cold made me a pretty happy guy, if only for a little while.

So now it's break. Hopefully gonna find something to do tonight and then tomorrow is the Femme Fatality/Superfun Yeah Yeah Rocketship show. I had some leftover pizza earlier. It was tasty. Last night I went to the Olive Garden. It was also tasty. I got new headphones from my mom's friend Laurie, which I was in dire need of. Most of you reading probably haven't seen my janky headphones, currently held together with scotch tape. They're pretty sad looking. My new ones are German engineered and cost $50. Pretty good sound.

"You suck at life" is a pretty common and stupid insult. Because you know what? We all do. In the last couple of weeks, I've had at least 3 of my friends say something about having no idea what to do in life. Whether it be problems with the opposite sex, trouble at school, uncertainty about their future, or whatever else, these kids are just getting really dismal outlooks on life. It's kind of sad to see, because I've gone through these phases, and it really sucks. Try all 3 of the problems I mentioned at once, it's pretty fun. Ah, the life of a teenager. Stupid emotions. As far as the future is concerned, I'm still completely in the dark about what I want to do. I don't have the money for college, and even if I did, I have no idea what I'd want to major in or any of that. This is fine with me, though. I just don't allow myself to get stressed over the stuff, no matter how my life might be seemingly crumbling. As I've called it before, the "It's the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fine" mentality. It's working for me so far. If you're going through one of these phases, I encourage you to try it out.

Let's see, what else is on my mind? I'm pretty sick of the writer's strike going on. I need some new episodes of Conan. I don't have anything else interesting to say really. Oh. Except this. My buddy Mark has a little acoustic project called "I Was A Fountain" and you guys should check it out. He's only got one of his songs up at this point, but I'm sure he'll post more soon. He's a really great songwriter (http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendID=110985943&blogID=231536045&Mytoken=6F8F9199-C1EC-4901-AF4349ED0543A1E147216046) and a good guy, so do me a favor and give him a listen. Oh, and if you like the song, it's free to download.
